Framework for 21st Century Skills

Our new North Carolina Standard Course of Study is built upon the new standards that demand a new approach to teaching and learning. This summer, educators across North Carolina attended Summer Institutes where they built upon last year's topic of the "what" of the new standards. The focus this year was the "how" of implementation.

As we discuss 21st Century skills in depth, a definition of each of the themes is included in the Framework Definitions document. You will need an understanding of the themes for our next activity.
